Most people assume a kitchen gut means the floor goes too. It often does not — and that is usually the single biggest line item nobody was expecting.

Kitchens are the room where sloppy work shows the most, because you stand in one for an hour a day with nothing to look at but the reveal between the cabinet doors. Level runs, tight scribes, backsplash carried properly behind the range. Most of my kitchen work is in Monmouth County, with regular jobs in Ocean and Middlesex counties as well.
